IMPACT TRIP RESOURCES

Take a look through these resources as you prepare for your trip! If you have any questions, feel free to contact your trip leader or the Antioch offices for more information.

Each trip is designed to create lasting impact — in the communities we serve, through the hope and love of Christ, and in the hearts of those who go. By stepping out of our routines and into God’s mission, we discover His heart for the nations, grow in courage and faith, and return home equipped to live on mission right where we are.

🗓️ Upcoming Impact Trips

Our next Impact Trips will be announced in late fall! We’re preparing opportunities for Spring Break and Summer, and we can’t wait to share more details soon. Stay tuned for dates and destinations, and start praying about where God might send you!

Fundraising

Fundraising for a mission trip can be a challenging task. If you need help creating a support letter, check out the tips below or contact your trip leader for fundraising ideas. We also encourage everyone to write thank-you notes to everyone who supports you on your trip. Please see a sample thank-you below!

Giving

Donations can be made via check, cash, or online.

  • Please make checks payable to Antioch Austin. On the memo line, include the team and team member’s name (e.g., Uganda - John Smith). This ensures it is credited towards the correct member’s trip.

Mailing Address: Antioch Austin, 6014 Cameron Road, Antioch, TX 78723

  • Cash donations are accepted during Sunday morning services in the offering, can be dropped off at the office (M-Th), or given directly to a team member who will deliver it to the office. Please include a note with the team and team member’s name, as well as your name and mailing address to receive a donation receipt.

  • Click here to donate online. This takes you to the Managed Missions page where you can select the correct trip and then the team member’s name.

Please note, donations made to Antioch Austin are tax deductible. Donations are solicited with the understanding Antioch has discretion and control over all donated funds. In practice, Antioch implements the donor instruction whenever possible. If for some reason a team member is unable to go on the trip, funds raised will be used to meet the team’s needs. Donations are not refundable.

Please contact the office with any questions at 512-892-4673.

Managed Mission

Trip leaders, this is for you! This presentation is to help you navigate the Managed Missions platform. It walks through setting up an account and managing your trip (review applications, donations, scheduling meetings, and tracking paperwork).

Trip FAQ

  • Each trip has different age suggestions/restrictions. This is based on what kind of ministry is being done, the location, who the trip is serving, etc. Please check each trip’s description for age range restrictions. If you have questions whether you or your child is eligible for a trip, please contact us at hello@antiochatx.com.

  • Mission trips with Antioch Austin are non-refundable, because these funds are considered charitable donations. If a participant is not able to go on the trip, funds may be allocated in one of the following ways:

    1. Funds may be designated for the initially intended trip to help the project become fully funded, meeting the budgeted team needs.

    2. If team needs are met, funds may be transferred to another related purpose.

At the end of each fiscal year, any unused funds are transferred to the general mission trip fund to help with future mission trips.

  • If you raise more money than you need, those funds may be designated to other individual(s) participating in the trip to help them become fully funded.

If all trip participants are fully funded, those funds may be transferred to the general mission trip fund to help with future mission trips.

  • If traveling internationally, you will need a valid passport. It is best to apply for a passport sooner rather than later. Passports can take up to 3 months to process.

If your passport expires in less than 6 months from your trip return date, you may not be able to travel to some countries. It is best to renew your passport well in advance of its expiration to avoid any travel disruptions.

If you are flying domestically, you will need a Real ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification to travel. Click here to learn more.

  • Your trip leader will contact you about all required team meetings and trainings that take place before you leave.

  • Trip costs vary based on location. Each trip description will have an estimated cost for that trip.

All prices are subject to change. This is due to changing prices; advertised prices might go up or down slightly before the trip is fully booked. The final price of the trip will be set after the transportation (flights, car rentals, etc.) and housing are booked. The final price will be communicated to all participants once bookings are finalized.

  • Charitable contributions to your trip can be made by:

    1. Online: Donations can be made using your Managed Missions profile. Once you’re added to your trip, click on the “Public Profile” tab of your trip to create a link you can share via text, email, or any social media platform. *A processing fee is incurred for all credit card donations (2–3.5%)

    2. Check: Checks can be made out to “Antioch Community Church Austin” and mailed to 6014 Cameron Road, Austin, TX 78723. Be sure to include a note clearly detailing which trip and team member it should be designated towards. For example: Mexico Trip – Jane Smith

    3. Cash: Each donation should include a note clearly detailing which trip and team member it should be designated towards. For example: Mexico Trip – Jane Smith

  • Log in to your Managed Missions account and click the Fundraising tab. This will show a list of who has given towards your trip and how much. Please allow 2–3 business days for this to be updated.

  • What is included in varies by trip. Typically, airfare, transportation, housing, trip insurance, and meals are included in the trip cost. Any souvenirs, snacks, or treats will be the responsibility of the participant. Please contact your trip leader for more detailed information.

  • In your Managed Missions account, under the “Tasks and Goals” tab, you will find the required paperwork you need to complete. Download these to your device or print a hard copy to complete the form. Once completed, scan and upload the form.

If you are not able to scan the document, please deliver them to your trip leader.

  • In your Managed Missions account, click the “Tasks and Goals” tab. Here you will see all the due dates for the required paperwork and tasks. Any additional due dates will be communicated to you by the trip leader.

  • The dress codes for each trip will be discussed in team meetings prior to the trip. Each trip is different, considering culture, weather, and trip purpose, so it is important to attend all meetings to not miss that information.

  • Each trip varies, so specific items will be reviewed in your team meetings. Please contact your team leader with any questions.
