When There Are No Words, There Is His Presence

In the wake of the devastating floods across Central Texas, we want to pause and acknowledge the grief, confusion, and pain so many in our community are walking through.

Keep praying for miracles only God can do.

Some words from Pastor Jady:

The past few weeks in Central Texas have been heavy. The kind of heavy that lingers in the air, in the heart, and in the conversations we’re having with friends, neighbors, and coworkers. The recent flooding didn’t just make headlines — it impacted people we know and love. For many of us, this isn’t a distant tragedy. It’s personal.

In moments like this, when words fall short and explanations feel empty, I find myself leaning not on what I can say, but on what God has already said.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Whether you're reading this with tears in your eyes as you grieve the loss of a loved one, or you're under the weight of having lost your home and possessions…

Whether you're like me — heartbroken, overwhelmed, unsure what to even feel — I want to remind you of this simple, powerful truth:

Jesus is close to us when we hurt.

In seasons of loss and grief, our prayer becomes, “God, come.”And He does.

He doesn’t always give us the answers we’re looking for. I wish I could tell you why this happened. I wish I could give you a reason that would somehow make it all feel less painful. But I can’t.

What I can give you is hope: hope that God is near, even here — especially here.

His nearness is what sustains us when our strength runs out.
His presence is what comforts us when our words and reasons fail. And it’s His love that allows us to walk in peace, even in the midst of heartache.

If you’re hurting today, He’s with you.
If you’re overwhelmed, He’s with you.
If you don’t know where to start, He’s still with you.

And that’s enough for today.

So let’s lean into His grace and love — together.
I’m standing with you this week, and I’m praying that His nearness surrounds you like never before.
